Installation Instructions for CPVC/uPVC Concealed Valve – Akant

  1. Surface Preparation & Pipe Connection: Ensure all mating surfaces are clean, dry, and free from dust or grease. Solvent weld the CPVC pipes to the socket ends of the concealed valve body using a suitable CPVC solvent cement.
  2. Curing Time: Allow the joint to cure as per the cement manufacturer's instructions before proceeding to avoid any leakage or misalignment.
  3. Remove Protective Cap: After the cementing and curing process, carefully remove the black protective cap to expose the internal brass mechanism.
  4. Attach Extension Sleeve & Flange: Screw the chrome-plated extension sleeve onto the exposed brass mechanism. Insert the flange before tightening, and adjust its position as needed based on tile thickness or wall finish.
  5. Water Pressure Check: Before installing the knob, conduct a pressure test to ensure there are no leaks and that the concealed valve operates smoothly.
  6. Install Control Knob: Align the knob (Triangular, Square, or Round) with the Akant logo positioned upright. Once aligned, securely tighten the top or side-mounted screw, depending on the knob design.
  7. Final Finish: Ensure the flange sits flush against the finished wall. Wipe down the valve area to remove any dust or adhesive residues.
  8. System Test: Once installation is complete, open the water supply and test the valve for smooth operation and proper water flow.
